TwelverShii created an article. Suspected sock created account and within minutes removed template for speedy deletion. Both using similarly worded edit summaries. Article has previously been deleted, was basically recreated. Equine-man (talk) 18:52, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recreated Raphael Hazrat Ishaan, which is a favorite target of this sockmaster: Special:Log/Naqshbandi_Way, Special:Log/Zwölfermensch1. Spamming user talk pages with pleas to recreate the article: [1]. Editing overlaps in Hazrat Ishaan. —*Fehufangą (✉ Talk · ✎ Contribs) 13:59, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Although CU was inconclusive last time (meatpuppetry perhaps?), i think behavioural evidence is worth checking here: in line with previous sockpuppets, promoting Prince Raphael. Requesting CU for sleeper check. —*Fehufangą (✉ Talk · ✎ Contribs) 14:40, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Like the socks in the previous SPIs, this user is fixated on the WP:OR "Ishan/Ishaan" stuff. They created the WP:OR template "Ishaani Line of Succession" with an image [2] uploaded by one of Sayyid Mir Israfils socks TwelverShii. They are currently mass-spamming this template everywhere.

They also somewhat attempted to recreate the deleted Ishaan article [3] by moving this article [4]. That deleted article was notorious for being constantly edited by socks and meatpuppets (as seen in the deletion discussion for example).

Perhaps the data of the IPs mentioned in my old report might of use? [5]. HistoryofIran (talk) 23:37, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: Surely this is the smoking gun: TheAva1on just recreated this deleted article [6], which was deleted in 2020 and was previously created by Sayyid Mir Israfil, who strongly protested against its deletion, saying "We are totally right and will prevail." I came here to ask the same thing, connecting these two accounts. Liz Read! Talk! 05:23, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can we get some checkuser love here? It's been a few weeks now and the disruption has continued. Liz Read! Talk! 04:56, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, GS, there are a limited number of checkusers and a seemingly endless supply of sockpuppets. Thank you for checking. Liz Read! Talk! 22:09, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • The old accounts are stale, but I did some digging around in the CU logs. This account geolocates to the same location, and uses the same ISP, as Bubbledubble47, a confirmed sock. Taking behaviour into account, I'm blocking and tagging as proven. Sorry for the delay - there's been a bit of a backlog over here in recent weeks. Closing. PerfectForm1 essentially created the same template [8] as TheAva1on [9] but this time its named "Naqshbandism". It literally has the same image as well, though I'm not sure that's possible to see now that TheAva1ons template has been deleted. They also added the same image in the French Wikipedia [10]

Compare their EIU as well [11], PerfectForm is basically adding the templates to the same articles that TheAva1on did. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:14, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: This "new user" also just protested [12] against the block of Dragon819010, who was blocked back in April for disruptive editing. Interesting. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:33, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How interesting to see that constructive editing is regarded as undesirable. --PerfectForm1 (talk) 20:28, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The user did the almost the same contribution about the Dakik Family as the sockmaster. Furthermore the account did similar contributions to other WikiPages like Barakzai Dynasty,Sardar, Prince, Sayyid. This cannot be a coincidence. Janos Neman (talk) 11:49, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Vanjagenije
From suspected sockpuppets @TwelverShii and @MadRoyalist, I took the diffs
1. twelvershii: revision 24.september.2022, 13:28 Barakzai Dynasty
----> added information on Azizi Cade Branch, so about the Dakik family.
2. Madroyalist: revision 12.january.2023, 18:58. Barakzai Dynasty
-----> edited his own content for more detailed information on dakik family via introducing "Mir Muhammad Jan".
From Dudman4567:
1. revision: 21.november.2023, 11:58, Barakzai Dynasty
after a user under an IP edited the family story into this wiki page again.
----> he editet into the paragraph more detailed to dakik family by adding information on "Mir Muhammad Jan".
2. revision: 21.november.2023, 12:06, Barakzai Dynasty
----> added more information on dakik family and prof. abdul khalek khan and of "Mir Muhammad Jan" and his father.
We know that the sockpuppets are centered around adding information on dakik family for self promotion. And if I follow the edits from Dudman4567, he has such detailed alteration around this family, where I believe no one outside the sockpuppets and some Wiki Editors by IP-Adress (very suspicous) has done to wiki. And if you follow the also share the same interest in editing the same wikipages. Additionally he altered on nov.21.2023 the Barakzai Dynasty page more than 20 times. Similar happend with the account madroyalist from 7 to 11 january. Janos Neman (talk) 20:20, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  •   Additional information needed - @Janos Neman: In order to facilitate and expedite your request, please provide diffs to support your case. Please give two or more diffs meeting the following format:
  1. At least one diff is from the sockmaster (or an account already blocked as a confirmed sockpuppet of the sockmaster), showing the behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster.
  2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.
  3. In situations where it is not immediately obvious from the diffs what the characteristic behaviour is, a short explanation must be provided. Around one sentence is enough for this. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:08, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The editing history of this user suggests that they have a deep interest in "Hazrat Ishaan". Hazrat Ishaan is the name given to the leader of a group of Naqshbandi Sufis founded by Hazrat Ishaan Khawand Mahmud, who are currently led by Raphael Dakik and function as an anti-Taliban lobby group in Germany, and claim that their leader is the supreme leader of the Naqshbandi Sufi order. Sayyid Mir Israfil and his previous sockpuppets have 3 behavioral traits when it comes to editing Wikipedia: Promoting Hazrat Ishaan Khawand Mahmud, his successors/predecessors and giving the impression that they have been and are influential figures in Islamic and political circles, adding content about Raphael Dakik in particular, and adding large Sufi chains of succession and genealogies. Below, I have provided diffs to show how Remote-Control65's editing behavior matches that of Sayyid Mir Israfil and his previous sockpuppets. Here is a list of IPs the sockpuppets use, which I found in a previous investigation launched by @HistoryofIran[13].

This account was created on 27 January 2025. On the same day, the user stated keep on three out of four of the deletion nomination pages for articles on Hazrat Ishaan Khawand Mahmud's successors which I nominated for deletion. Who ever owns this account knows about WP:V, WP:GNG, WP:RS, WP:NOT and WP:RECENTISM [38][39][40].

Like Sayyid Mir Israfil, their arguments for keeping the articles are significantly based on emotion and their own beliefs regarding Khawand Mahmud's successors, and they do not sign their posts using the four tildes [41][42][43] vs [44][45][46].

Lastly, in each of the three pages on which the user edited, they wrote that the article is not for promotional purposes- but in each of the deletion nomination pages I never said that it is- what I did say in a previous SPI, and what I know is that Sayyid Mir Israfil and his sockpuppets are known for promoting Khawand Mahmud and his successors/predecessors through Wikipedia [47], so why did Mayonnaise.sandiwch.123 say that the article is not for promotional purposes[48][49][50]?
